Day 2....The Rabbit Express

Wow today was amazing. We first started in the van and rode in the van for 5 hours. When we first got to Xela we went to our hotel. It's very nice and we are thankful for our rooms. When we went to go get dinner/lunch, outside the resturant there were huge slides. Me and some other people went to go check the slides out. I met a very cute little girl and she became my friend. It was hard to say goodbye but I enjoyed the few minutes I had with her. We had a very eventful grocery trip but I won't go into details!!! I feel like God has given us an amazing start to this great opportunity. Thank you sooooo much for praying for us,
Morgan Drost

Everyone has had a lot of fun so far. Flights were generally good, turbulance was actually a lot of fun (although there are some who would definitely disagree). We had lots of time to connect with the other teammates and get to know them better. The long car ride felt incredibly short; there were so many amazing things that we got to talk about (fellowship, things we were reading in our Bibles, who the most impactful person in our lives was, etc). I am so excited to see what God has in store for the rest of the week! We have not gone into the villiage yet, but it will be exciting to see how God will change everyone's lives through this trip. Please be praying for the safety of the team and that God would do amazing things this week.

Travel Day 1!

As we are waiting to take off to Guatemala, or Guamalatala as Steve calls it, we are itching to share the Good News. So far, we have found plenty of Starbucks and talked to many new people. There was a group of girls from Mississippi who we met and
they told us that they are going to Guatemala as well. Please pray that we may let His light shine through us, and for safe travels!

I think we're ready to go....

The team has been hard at work getting ready to go these last few months. We've had a good time learning some things about the lifestyle and culture of the people that we're going to meet in about 4 days.
                                                              We've carried water

Cooked chicken on homemade, outdoor stoves

and prepared ourselves psychologically for the rain

Here are some things to pray for as we get ready to leave:
- Spiritual Growth for the students going on the trip.
- That God would use this trip to stir our hearts toward serving Him at home and beyond
- The village we will be working in and the people we’ll be working with
- That the good news of Jesus would be clearly communicated and shown through our words and our lives

Stay tuned....
